Repertory › Remedies in the repertory

Gambogia (Gamb.)

Gambogia (Gamb.) appears in 43 rubrics in the Repertory. Of these, 4 are single rubrics in which only this remedy appears, and there is no small rubric with at most two other remedies.

Main emphases

The main rubrics Irritability, Sadness and Delusions are most strongly represented with five entries each. Anxiety and Gestures, makes follow with three entries each. Specific rubrics are found twice under Sadness and twice under Delusions.

The four single rubrics concern sadness alternating with diarrhea, suppressed sadness in connection with diarrhea, as well as delusions about work in which something does not progress fast enough, and delusions of swaying from one side to the other.

Summary

The picture links sadness and delusions with physical statements about the bowel and with work. The emphases are clear, but the number of entries is spread widely over mental rubrics, so that the picture remains rather general in its delineation.

All rubrics of this remedy, the materia medica and the case work are in Rathmer’s Repertory.
