Oxygenium (Oxyg.)
Oxygenium (Oxyg.) appears in 142 rubrics in the Repertory. Of these, 2 are single-remedy rubrics in which only this remedy appears, and 4 are small rubrics with at most two other remedies. The emphasis lies on Fear, the largest main rubric with 30 rubrics, followed by Delusions, Ailments from, Anxiety and Indifference. The picture is mainly that of a person who feels threatened and has fear of people and of changes of place.
Fear of people and of traveling
Fear is the dominant field. Two single-remedy rubrics concern fear of criminals and fear of traveling: "Fear, phobia – Criminals, of" and "Fear, phobia – Traveling, of". The remedy thus records fear of danger from outside, related to movement and to encounters.
Delusions and ailments
Delusions are recorded in seven rubrics; one small rubric describes the idea of being a victim. Ailments from fear are given in six rubrics. Anxiety is recorded in four rubrics, Indifference likewise in four. Sensitiveness and Mistakes occur in three rubrics each.
Inclination to vagabondage
A small rubric records the inclination to become a tramp: "Inclination to become a tramp". This inclination is a distinct trait that combines with the fear of traveling and at the same time shows the wish for distance. Another small rubric concerns talking about colors.
Summary
Oxygenium appears in the Repertory as a remedy of predominant fear, directed at criminals, traveling and one's own endangerment. Delusions, ailments and indifference stand alongside, and the inclination to wander forms a trait of its own. The picture is carried almost entirely by fear, which appears in the remaining rubrics only indirectly.
All rubrics of this remedy, the materia medica and the case work are in Rathmer’s Repertory.
